The Downs School Mission Statement
The Downs School is committed to providing an invigorating All Round Education that is stimulating, challenging and exciting. From Reception to Year Eight, each boy and girl is valued as an integral part of the school community. Through dynamic teaching, diverse opportunities and considered pastoral care we aim to develop a firm social and academic foundation in each child. We believe that every child can succeed and we strive to ensure that there is a positive energy and atmosphere in all areas of work and play. Our philosophy is based on traditional Christian values and morals. We nurture confidence in contrast to arrogance and expect courtesy, consideration, respect and tolerance towards others at all times.
