Year 7 Play – His Dark Materials

The Year 7 production this term was based on Philp Pullman’s Dark Materials trilogy. This was a challenging script but in collaboration with the English department the children were able to study it in class and also perform. This helped the children to understand the story and their characters and this inevitably aided their performance. Congratulations to all involved and thank you once again to the mums for costumes and puppets. The performances were fantastic and have set a new standard for the school.

Trips

Year 1 Trip to Tyntesfield

Year 1 had an interesting and informative day finding out about Victorian times at Tyntesfield House. As well as exploring some of the one hundred and six rooms, the children took part in a workshop where they handled objects from that period. They played with toys from the past and made one of their own.
